Next, the fruit is high in antioxidants such as lycopene and betacyanin. Antioxidants are compounds which bind unstable elements known as free radicals. Since free radicals are often associated with being an underlying cause of cancer in humans, antioxidants may also be considered to have anti-cancer properties.
Thirdly, dragon fruit is considered to be a fruit that helps to mitigate the symptoms of diabetes. The entire fruit, flesh and seeds possess vitamins and minerals.
